Lanzarote Weather: May 2016

We didn’t get the usual calima in Lanzarote this May, normally it’s really hot for a week or so before the Ironman event on the third Saturday of the month. Warm but quite cloudy earlier in the month, settling into regular sunny days in the latter half.

Lanzarote Weather: April 2016

Whilst the start of April was a bit cooler than normal, the weather warmed up nicely towards the end of the month, recording a warmer than average temperature for the whole month.

Lanzarote Weather: March 2016

It’s been a dry winter in the Canary Islands, figures released covering the period 1st October 2015 to 8th March 2016 show a rainfall deficit of 25% according to Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (Aemet). The month of March brought unsettled weather in Lanzarote, it was unusually cloudy with interspersed sunny days and fairly windy.

Lanzarote Weather February 2016

It was an unusual February! Firstly the month was the warmest February in the Canaries since 2009. It also registered the coldest day on record since March 2011, this was on the 19th February 2016. Plus the snow,hail and rain that fell from the 18th to 22nd February meant it was the wettest February since 2011.
