English Cinema in Lanzarote, 9th and 12th January 2017

The movie in English for next week remains unchanged and it will be shown in Multicines Atlántida in Arrecife on Monday and Thursday at 19:25h: "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story". 

Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones) is a Rebellion soldier and criminal about to embark on her biggest challenge yet as Mon Mothma (played by Genevieve O'Reill) sets her out on a risky mission to steal the plans for the new super weapon, the Death Star. I enjoy having a good trawl around statistics relating to Lanzarote, and I’ve had some fun coming up with these ten interesting facts about the island’s population.

Resurfacing work has been completed on the road that runs between La Santa and Emerlan. The €200,000 cost was financed as part of the tourism infrastructure plan. It will come as a relief to the many cyclists who use the stretch of road!  read more »

Lanzarote Restaurant Review, Himalaya Restaurant

We had been part of Puerto del Carmen’s annual Santa Parade and we were looking for somewhere to eat along The Strip when we spotted Himalaya.

The restaurant offers Nepali and Indian cuisine, and we decided to give it a go for an early evening meal. 

The menu has the usual suspects you would find on any Indian restaurant menu, so rest assured if you want a Chicken Tikka Masala, you can get one.

But we were interested to try some of the Nepali cuisine for our main courses, and we weren’t disappointed.  read more »
