Playa Flamingo Work Courtesy Crónicas de Lanzarote You would think that after four years of waiting for the work to begin to repair Playa Flamingo after the effects left by storm Delta in 2005 the work would have started without much commotion, but no! The popular beach in Playa Blanca lost its sea wall during Delta and the sand has since been eroded away, work estimated in the region of 3 million Euros was required to restore the beach.

Tragsa began work yesterday, Thursday 29th October and the occasion was marked by an island visit from the Directora General de Costas, Alicia Paz who met with local island dignitaries to begin the project "Proyecto de Rehabilitación de los Diques de Playa Flamingo".
