VIP Lounge At Lanzarote Airport

The Guacimeta VIP lounge is situated through security in the departures area, near the commercial zone and is open from 06:00 to when the last flight departs. As you come out of security, turn right, and the lounge is at the far end  – look for the glass doors on your right.

The VIP lounge occupies a space of 191.60 m2 and has a 56 m2 open terrace area which is suitable for smokers. Entry costs €39.45 for adults and €18.20 for children aged between 6 to 10 years old.

The interior of the lounge is decorated with landscapes of Lanzarote and naturally illuminated with big windows, facing to the South of the island. It’s acclimatised with temperature controls. There are usually two staff on who will top up drinks and food and make sure everyone is looked after.

Daily Spanish & International newspapers are be available, plus television and a high speed wifi internet connection. The catering service includes light meals, drinks and pastries. Spirits, wine, beer coffee and soft drinks are free of charge. A refurbishment took place in the VIP lounge in early 2020 and there is now a hot buffet service at certain hours.

There is a private terrace where you can catch the last rays of the sun, and where smokers can enjoy a last puff before flying.

The VIP lounge is quite small and it’s not up to the standards of first and business class lounges around the world, but it provides an oasis of calm and is a great place to catch up on some work in peace. We tend to use it if our flight is delayed, or if the main airport departures area is particularly busy.

There are plenty of drinks, both alcoholic and soft available. The food is fairly basic, but good for a decent snack, and a new hot buffet has recently been added.
