The tapas festival opens at 11:00 on Sunday 2nd October, events include an amateur cooking competition with pulses from Lanzarote at 12:00 and live music entertainment from Salvapantallas at 14:30.

Tastings are normally priced from €1 to €2 euros, so it’s a great way to try some different foods and drink from the island, to taste Lanzarote.

Extra buses linking Arrecife and Tías have been arranged due to the thousands of people expected to attend this gastronomy event over the weekend. The line 3 bus from Arrecife to Puerto del Carmen and the interior bus service from Tías to Puerto del Carmen have increased their frequency between the hours of 17:30 & 23:30 on Saturday and 11:00 & 16:00 on Sunday.

The organisers have also asked attendees to make use of the yellow recycling containers provided for plastic containers, cans and cartons used at the event.

The V Feria de la Tapa in Puerto del Carmen will have more than 30 stalls and a tent where local chefs will demonstrate show cooking events using traditional products of octopus and chick peas.
