We announced news of the free Spanish courses organised by the Cabildo for residents in Lanzarote back in August.
Anyone who registered an interest then should have received an email with the details of how to register your place on a course, if not here are the details.
Download the form attached below, complete and take in person to the Cabildo in Arrecife. When you arrive, go to the machine in the waiting area on the left, press the button for registro and wait your turn. Take a seat at the desk called and they will process your form, giving you a stamped copy back. Please note, there are limited places available and allocated on a first come first served basis.
The classes will be held twice a week through October and November in three locations:
Arrecife: Oficina Municipal de Atención al Inmigrante, Calle Blas Cabrera Felipe.
Tuesday & Thursday 17:00 – 19:00
Playa Honda: Asociación Rural de Mujeres Tiemar, Plaza de Santa Elena.
Monday & Wednesday 10:00 – 12:00
Puerto del Carmen: Centro Civico El Fondeadero, Calle Lanzarote 1.
Tuesday & Thursday 09:00 – 11:00
The course is aimed at foreigners aged over 18 years old and lasts 32 hours. Candidates should be able to understand simple sentences about everyday life, use isolated words and expressions in Spanish. They should want to improve their speaking, listening and written level of Spanish to be able to function in daily life situations.
Registration for places is from the 19th September to 4th October, between the hours of 09:00 – 14:00.
Diplomas will be given at the end of the course to students who have attended a minimum of 85% of the course, only 5 hours of absence is allowed from the scheduled lessons.
