Haría Ayuntamiento have organised Talleres de Skate (Skateboarding classes) for local kids, they are being held on:
Tuesday 9th February 16:30 – 17:30 at the children's play area in Haría
Thursday 11th February 16:30 – 17:30 at the car park at Playa La Garita in Arrieta
Register with the Departamento de Juventud to secure a place, you will need to bring your own skates / skateboard.
There is a skateboard competition called the “Open Mini Ramp La Garita 2010” on Saturday 13th February to inaugurate the new ramps which will be held in Arrieta at 2.30pm. The skateboard ramps have been installed as part of the local project Haría: Espacio Rural, Espacio Joven which translates to Rural Space, Young Space and aims to create outdoor activities for the younger generation in Lanzarote’s rural areas.
