The Rising Tide

The Rising Tide project by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor has been installed in Arrecife.

The Rising Tide

This striking horsemen exhibition was created as a demonstration to highlight climate change. The visibility of the figures changes with the ebb and flow of the tide. The four riders on horses whose heads resemble oil extraction machinery, are a reminder of how close we are to nature.

You can find The Rising Tide at Puerto Naos, below the Castillo de San José and MIAC exhibition centre. It’s position is visible to visitors arriving in Lanzarote by cruise ship and ferries.
