Calling all photographers, professional or amateur! Amongst other things becoming popular in this island, photography contests seem to be one of them.
The 27th of September 2012 is World Tourism Day. The Teguise Townhall have decided to take this opportunity to organise a photography contest with the theme: "Costa Teguise and Tourism".
1st prize is €300 and 2nd prize is €200.
You must be 18 and a Spanish resident, regardless of your nationality. Up to 3 entries per person can be submitted. To participate, you need to register by email to email@example.com before the 21st of September 2012, providing a copy of your DNI / Residencia, contact phone number and email.
Entries must be submitted both by email and printed versions. The minimum size of the printed photos is 15 x 21 cm in black and white or colour on a card or passe-partout.
Each photo has to have written at the back a title, and a pseudonym to identify the author. In a closed envelope marked with the pseudonym on the outside, the author will include the personal details: name, surname, NIF/NIE, email and telephone.
The submitted entries will become part of a photographic archive of Costa Teguise, propriety of the Teguise Townhall, handing over to them all the rights of the photos.
Photos can be presented until the 25th of September 2012 at the Tourism Department of the Teguise Townhall, located in the Oficina Municipal de Costa Teguise on the Avenida. Islas Canarias.
The photos exhibition and the prize ceremony will be held on the 26th of September at 18:00 in Pueblo Marinero in Costa Teguise.
The jury will be consist of 3 photography professionals from Lanzarote, appointed by the Concejalías de Cultura y Turismo of the Teguise Townhall, participating in the contest implies accepting these terms and conditions as well as the jury's decision.
