They recommended that you plan to finish the route in 5 days so that with a week long holiday you have a day before and after the cycling, the schedule for this would be:
Stage 2 La Graciosa (30 kms) Stage 3 Órzola to Famara (50 kms) Stage 4 Famara to Playa Blanca (68 kms) Stage 5 Playa Blanca to Puerto del Carmen (35 kms) Obviously you’ll need a mountain bike for this holiday and a helmet, you can bring your own or if you prefer one can be hired locally. The route is marked in your road book issued at the start of the holiday, there are stops along the way where you will have to get a stamp in your book to prove that you have completed the route, any riders finishing the circuit receive a coveted Pedales de Lava cycling jersey. There is a baggage transport service available in between the stages if all of the party are cycling, to save you carrying your luggage. This holiday would also be good for family or friends that aren’t cyclists as they can hire a car and meet you at the next stop over point taking in some of the attractions and beaches during the day and you can chose if to stay in apartments, villas or hotels.
Clara, Chema y Maxi from Pedales de Lava would like to wish Feliz Navidad to everyone, they hope to see you cycling in Lanzarote soon! For more information please see their website Pedales de Lava. |
