The Ladies Who Lunch (LWL) was formed in November 2000 with the idea of meeting and raising much needed funds for SARA the animal shelter in Lanzarote. They meet on a regular basis to have lunch and €5 from each ticket sold is donated to SARA for them to spend as required, they also hold a raffle at the events and these proceeds are donated to SARA too. In their first eight years, the Ladies Who Lunch have raised over €83,000 for SARA! This money is desperately needed for food, medicine and to keep the shelter running.
