Everyone has their own favourite beach, there are so many different types to chose from:
Arrieta
Locals beach with 2 tapas bars, fishing pier, children's play area that has safe bathing but also some surf for boarding on.
Orzola
Has lots of small white beaches along the coast, very shallow water, great for rock pooling and relaxing.
Playa Blanca
Papagayo has a selection of 7 beaches including a nudist one, camping available in the summer months, nice views of Fuerteventura.
Famara
The surf beach, not great for swimming as can have rip tides but great for sports, the place to go for surf and kites.
Charco del Palo
Not really a beach but if you want to get your kit off and wander around this is the place to be!
Costa Teguise
Las Cucharas beach is excellent for windsurfing, the bay is safe enough for beginners and the wind is strong enough for the experienced.
Puerto del Carmen
Choose from a huge beach at Los Pocillos to the main beach towards the old harbour there is plenty of sand and shops to keep everyone amused.
