Promoferia returns to the island for a second year, bringing all the fun of the fairground to the capital of Lanzarote.
The fair will be situated at the Recinto Ferial, which coincidently also means fairground and is the car park area by the Cabildo and Discoteca Aqua on the seafront in Arrecife. Promoferia 2013 will be open from the 9th to 27th January with 25 different attractions and stalls to entertain all ages.
Major attractions include Los Rápidos (a roller coaster though the rapids), El Extreme, El Inverter and La Momia (The Mummy, a 3D Egyptian show).
Victor Sanginés, Councilor for Festivals in Arrecife commented “Following the success of the first edition and because quality is a plus for our city, we’ve worked hard to ensure that the Feria is back in the municipality”.
Normally fairs are linked to fiestas in Lanzarote, this initiative from the Ayuntamiento in Arrecife to hold one without reason, proved really popular last year with over 35,000 people visiting the fair in January 2012.
Promoferia bridges that gap between Christmas and carnival which commences on the 2nd February for 2013.
As per last year, the rides and attractions will be priced from €1.50 - €3.50 so that everyone can enjoy the fair. The fair is open each day from 17:00 apart from Sunday which is earlier at 12:00.
