The inscription has opened from now until 8pm on the 20th May for children wanting to take part in this year’s Ironkids event on the 22nd May. There are 5 categories for the children depending upon their year of birth which determine the length of race:
*Prebenjamín born from 2001- 2002, swim 25m and run 500m
* Benjamín born from 1999 – 2000, swim 25m and run 500m
* Alevín born from 1997 – 1998, swim 50m and run 1000m
* Infantil born from 1995 – 1996, swim 100m and run 1500m
* Cadete born from 1993 – 1994, swim 200m and run 2500m
Please click here for inscription online, there are limited places available and proof of age is required, so scan in your id documents before you do the application.
The event starts at 4.30pm at the main beach on the front in Puerto del Carmen. The main Puerto del Carmen “Strip” will be closed from 4pm on Friday 22nd May until the end of the Ironman event the following day.
Hi, can you advise me as to a site where photographs were taken of this years Ironkids. My daughter was competing in the race and i am curious to her position with regard to her age group. My daughters name is "Mogan Chick" her race nuber was 128 in the Pre-Benjamin category.
I'm struggling to find them Jennie, I can't find any information as to the results on either www.lanzarotedeportes.com or www.clublasanta.com. The full results haven't been published for the Ironman Lanzarote race but you can search by competitor number on the tracker system http://ironman.com/events/ironman/lanzarote?show=tracker. Hopefully they will be posted on the website tomorrow but I've sent an email to the organizers asking for the details and will let you know asap if I hear anything.
