It is now much easier to contact with Inalsa the local water company as their main office has moved from Calle Triana to the desalination plant in Costa Teguise, no more dashing around central Arrecife looking for a parking place! From the main road you turn into the entrance marked oficina and park on the right, go through the central door of the building on the left. Explain to the main on your left what you need - new connection, water disconnected, copy bill, change of ownership etc and he will issue you with a number and direct you to the correct desk.

If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having your water cut off for non-payment you will need to go to the Inalsa office with a copy bill or your Poliza number shown on previous bank payment receipts and pay the outstanding invoice plus a reconnection charge of 59.03 Euros. The water will be reconnected within 24 hours.

If you have purchased a property and want to change the ownership, you need to take a copy of the escritura, your NIE/F number, your empadronamiento certificate (if you want the discounted residents rate), your bank details for payment by direct debit and your address and contact telephone number.
