This year is the second Travesía a Nado in Haría, which is a 2km swim off the Muelle de Punta Mujeres, Lanzarote on the 29th August 2009. Participants will swim out from the slipway along the coast for 1000m (approximately to the Restaurant El Lago) and then back again completing the 2km course.
There is an entry fee of €10 which can be paid on the day, all competitors will be given a swimming cap, a bottle of wine from Bodegas El Grifo, a t-shirt and a medal to all the finishers. You are allowed to wear neoprene although not its necessary with the sea temperatures.
To subscribe please download the subscription form and email the completed one to Raúl Santana Suárez or alternatively you can take the form and fee to Susana at Punto Joven del Ayuntamiento de Haría or the Centro Socio Cultural de Punta Mujeres - before the 26th August.
After the swim there will be a paella and then trophies for the winners of each age group, and prizes for the first three local resident competitors from the Haría municipality.
