Another hotel in Costa Teguise has begun their renovation project, which is part of the plan to modernise and improve tourism in this resort of Lanzarote.
The Occidental Oasis closed to guests in January and now has more than 180 people working on site to renovate the hotel. This project has an investment of 8 million Euros, the hotel will have 274 rooms remodelled as well as the theatre, dining room and common areas renovated. Outside, work will be undertaken on the swimming pool, gardens and sports centre with the creation of a padel tennis court.
Work by the Ayuntamiento of Teguise for better accessibility to the beach of Playa El Ancla will also hopefully be completed within the same time period.
The hotel is due to reopen from the 1st July 2012 with a new name Hotel Be Live Lanzarote Resort.
Other hotels to be renovated in Costa Teguise recently include Vitalclass & HD Beach Resort.
