Gangas have now arrived at Vivero Las Marias in Tahiche. This new venture is a joint collaboration between the existing owners and Gangas. The garden centre has been renamed as Gangas Vivero but you will still find the original owners there as well as some of the Gangas team.
There will be some changes at the centre, firstly the opening hours have been amended, you can now pop in 7 days a week and secondly there is a warehouse full of Gangas stock to browse through. Tony from Gangas explained that the store here will have their full range of outdoor furniture, barbecues, swimming pools, Jacuzzis, animal foods, gardening tools and much more. There is also talk of another Gangas Café at this location in the future.
I visited the Gangas Vivero yesterday, what a difference!
To announce the arrival of Gangas Vivero the team have organised a two day stock clearance of plants, barbecues, trees, garden furniture, plant pots and more on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July 2010. There will be an auction around 1pm on both of these days with 50 items up for grabs with no reserve price! An ideal chance to pick up a bargain and take a look at the new and improved garden centre.
To find Gangas Vivero take the road to Costa Teguise from the Tahiche roundabout with César Manrique’s wind toy Fobos on, look for the Gangas Vivero sign and turn right, keep going down along this road, past the new wing of the Lanzarote Prison it still looks a bit like a building site here but keep going and then you see a car park on the right planted with trees and a tall netted area behind, turn in here.
Open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 2pm.
