It can be difficult to find shops selling fireworks in Lanzarote, although everyone seems to have them and set them off all day long! They are known as Fuego Artificiales or Pirotecnia and sold throughout the year in Spain.

There was a shop in Tías selling fireworks situated on the main avenida on the right hand side heading towards the centre but can’t find their contact details!! I’ve also been told that gun / hunting shops in Arrecife stock them. If you know of any more places please add the details in comments.
If you found this post because you are looking for details of a firework display for New Year’s Eve 2009/2010, the only official one advertised is in the old capital of Teguise at midnight although there will be lots of private ones lighting the sky up too.
