The Festival Guagime and Caminata Santiago this weekend are part of the Fiestas Santiago Apóstol y Santa Ana in Tahíche.
On Friday the 23rd there is the Festival Guagime with performances from:
Grupo Acatife (from Lanzarote)
G.F. Calderón de la Barca (from Madrid)
A.F. Guagime (from Lanzarote)
The festival is being held in the C.S.C. Santiago El Mayor (Tahíche Sociedad) at 21:30.
This Sunday there is a walk “Caminata Santiago 2010” setting out from the La Hermita de Los Dolores (church) in Mancha Blanca over the island to Tahíche. The 25th July is the Día de Santiago, the walk is in honour of the Santiago who is the patron saint of Tahíche. The group is expected to reach Tahíche around 14:00.
There is also a procession around the streets of Tahíche which will leave the Ermita de Tahíche at 13:00 making their way around the town finishing at the Centro Socio Cultural Santiago El Mayor (sociedad).
