El Pueblo, Las Coloradas

El Pueblo Las Coloradas Playa Blanca is a resort that stretches along the coastline in the South of Lanzarote. The resort seems to be divided into two areas, from the centre to the Lighthouse or the centre to Papagayo. I visited the commercial centre of El Pueblo situated in Las Coloradas at the end of the resort closest to the beaches of Papagayo.

This centre has never been fully occupied and unfortunately at the moment there are an awful lot of empty locals here with for rent signs in the window. Having said all that there is a nice ambience with a handful of very good businesses located here so you really should go and check it out!

Plaza Mayor Ropers Snack Bar

The shopping centre was built in the style of a town with a Plaza Mayor and the passageways have street names.

El Parque Terrace El Parque Café

El Parque is an ice cream parlour and coffee shop, you can sit inside or on this lovely terrace which overlooks a children’s play area.

Congelados Roper K D O

Roper’s (Congelados Roper)is a name all residents know offering good food at great prices, this alone is a reason to visit El Pueblo. Predominantly frozen food, they also have fresh meat and fish counters as well as an incredible range of fruit and vegetables.

Restaurante Casa Nicolas Sports Bar

Restaurante Casa Nicolas looked really inviting with the tables inside beautifully laid out with crisp white table cloths and seriously large wine glasses. The Sports Bar faces out from El Pueblo they have a large terrace area with a sail cloth shade and for families, the play area is just to the right allowing the kids to play whilst you can enjoy a drink or too.  Both the Sports Bar and Ropers Snack Bar offer WiFi if you need to get online to surf the internet at this end of Playa Blanca.

The circular bus service connects to Las Coloradas or you can walk along the promenade and there is plenty of parking available so there’s no excuse not to visit!
