What a great way to explore Lanzarote! By hiring a motor home you can tailor your holiday perfectly moving around the island with the freedom to stay another night or move on and you’re not limited to just Lanzarote, you can take the motor home on the car ferry over to Fuerteventura or Gran Canaria, making it really easy to explore the Canary Islands.
Fuerteventura Motorhomes have a good range of Fiat Ducato motor homes available to hire from €560 per week with models sleeping 2 to 6 people. Although the company is based in Fuerteventura they will deliver to Lanzarote for €50, you can also arrange one way hires with a drop off on a different island.
Although there aren’t many official campsites and certainly not ones open all year round you can park anywhere unless stipulated otherwise – imagine waking up next to the beach for your early morning swim or opening the curtains to one of the fabulous miradors (views) in Lanzarote.
You have to be aged over 25 to hire one of the motor homes and have held your driving license (class B1) for a minimum of 2 years, two drivers are included in the hire price so you can share the driving. The vehicles are all 2200cc diesel (gasoil) engines from 100 – 130 bhp, the kitchen has a gas cooker and you will be supplied with a list of stations where you can top up the clean water and empty the dirty water tanks as required during your hire. Each motor home has a cycle carrier which can accommodate up to 3 mountain bikes if you want to hire them too for the duration your holiday. You can even bring your pets!
