We were asked recently by Kevin for information about the church services available in Lanzarote. The church is an integral part of life in Spain and much more than a weekly religious service. The church is celebrated throughout the annual calendar with local fiestas and traditions handed down through the generations. A fellowship for Christians of all denominations with Sunday worship at 11:00 every Sunday in the Barceló hotel in Costa Teguise. The weekly services are accessible for wheelchairs and open to residents and holidaymakers with supervised childcare for 4-12 year olds. Every Wednesday morning there is a fellowship meeting at one of the member’s homes, again visitors are welcome you can contact them via the website or ask for details after the Sunday service. Sunday Worship
The Parish of St Laurence is the Church of England denomination holding Sunday services in four locations across Lanzarote. Open to both residents and holidaymakers they also run a branch of the Mothers’ Union every second Monday in each month October to April.
Every Sunday – Holy Communion at the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in the main street of Playa Blanca at 17:30.
