We were recently invited by Marie Backman for coffee at her old Canarian house in La Asomada. It was our first time to Casa Carpe Vitam, the traditional style house just oozes character with some fabulous sea & mountain views. Marie had made an awesome chocolate cake to serve with the coffee, while we tucked in she explained her plans for the future.
At the moment the property offers spacious rural accommodation for up to 10 guests, situated only 5 minutes from Puerto del Carmen. There are bedrooms in the main house or a private 2 bedroom villa in the garden. Casa Carpe Vitam is flexible enough to offer bed & breakfast for an individual or fully inclusive for a group.
Both Marie and her daughters are qualified masseurs offering a range of relaxing spa treatments from chocolate massage to a mud bath. We particularly liked the double open air baths in the garden, here you can lie in the bath with an incredible sea view.

Romantic Night For Two
Arrive at your garden villa at 3pm in the afternoon for a welcome glass of wine. At 4pm you both have a massage and facial treatment lasting approximately 1 hour 40 minutes. Food including prawns, salmon, caviar, jamon serrano, melon, cheese, grapes, salad and bread will be served in the evening together with two bottles of wine. Breakfast the following morning in included.
