The renowned French hypermarket chain Carrefour have opened a warehouse in Playa Honda, Lanzarote.
The warehouse is neither a cash and carry or supermarket but it is now possible to shop with this retail giant. Orders can be placed on line for more than 10,000 products for collection / delivery from the warehouse in Lanzarote. The Carrefour website is only available in Spanish and it is not obvious that you can shop from Lanzarote, the closest outlets listed are in Gran Canaria.
A spokesman for the company has confirmed that the prices available to shoppers in Lanzarote are the same as the island of Gran Canaria including their own brand products line Carrefour Discount.
The warehouse is number 49-50 and situated next to the roundabout (rotunda del polígono) in Playa Honda.
Food Orders (alimentación) can be placed for delivery (€25 transport charge) on Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 10am and 6pm, deliveries are currently only available for food products including frozen and refrigerated items, the service will be made by local distribution agent Fudis Expert.
Additionally Carrefour have launched a special offer, €10 discount will be applied to orders over €90 until the 31st December 2010.
