Although there is a good month or so left of school holidays in Lanzarote, many of us are already thinking of the scramble to get all the necessary items to send our kids back to school for the new term. Anyone who has previously joined in the absolute melee of the school shops in Arrecife will be delighted to know that “Unicoles” will once again be providing their excellent service via their website and convenient stall at Eurospar. Unicoles was set up by two mums who found it increasing expensive and stressful getting their own children outfitted with uniforms each year and decided there must be a better, more economical way. Anna and Rebecca will have the stall up and running in Eurospar from Monday 16th August right up till the week after school starts in mid September. They will be there each day, from Monday - Saturday, 9.30 am - 7 pm.

The checked smocks, known as babbys, for infant children are available in various colours and they even sell raincoats! In addition to the stall you can of course make an order via their website www.unicoles.com and uniforms are for sale during the fortnightly parents evening visits in both Costa Teguise School and Argana. The stationary shop, Casa Marta, in Tahiche is selling the uniforms for Tahiche School from August 16th including the new green tracksuit set, again supplied by unicoles. In addition to providing this great service, Unicoles also donate 20c from each item sold to AMPA, the parents association, which is used to help pay for extra curricular activities in each school.
