Bacco is a new wine bar & restaurant that has recently opened in the old town area of Puerto del Carmen.
The chef at Bacco is Abel del Rosario, who previously worked at Restaurante Altamar situated on the top floor of the 5* Arrecife Gran Hotel.
Bacco is open daily from 13:00 to 23:00 and situated on Calle Roque Nublo 22, and is a welcome addition to the Irish bars situated in that area of the old town harbour.
You can enjoy a selection of tapas or a full menu at Bacco for lunch and dinner, the menu caters for everyone with meat, fish and vegan options. The restaurant is air conditioned and they offer free Wi-Fi.
There are some interesting options on the menu, for example in the Nibbles / Tapas section we were intrigued about the black pig and beetroot, mini lamb burger with roast vegetables & honey, and rockfish ceviche priced from €2.10 a portion. On the main course menu “From The Sea" there were mussels in green curry and fish & chips with ginger tartar sauce or “From The Land" Iberian pork cheeks and roast suckling pig with apple, priced from €10.50.
Bacco also offer a sharing menu for 2 people or more priced at €14.50 per person including a starter & main course accompanied with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.
The decor and food looks great, we’re looking forward to trying this restaurant soon!
