Aqua Win RC44 Puerto Calero Cup

British Team Aqua won the first event of the season in the RC44 Puerto Calero Cup.

It was the reigning champions from 2011 who proved they could adapt the to changing weather conditions in Lanzarote during the first regatta of the season, held from the 8-12th February.

Boat owner, Chris Bake said of the victory "For the team obviously every win is a great win, especially in this class where the teams really give you a run for your money, as you saw the first few days. It’s easy to make a mistake and once you do that its game over, so all in all its really appreciated by all the team that we were able to pull out another great event."

The teams now move on to Portugal for the second event of the season.
