The Angel Concert (Angel Concierto / Engelkonzert) will be performed in three venues on the 16th, 17th and 18th of January, by the visiting German flautist Sabine Bartl, and the pianist Marianne Whelpdale (resident of Lanzarote).
The music is by the German contemporary composer Hans-Jürgen Hufeisen, composed in 1992. The concert includes 12 pieces for flute and piano, each representing, in music and text, different angels as we know them from the bible and from Greek mythology.
The music is varied including elements of church, folklore and jazz. The words will be read aloud in German but written texts will also be available in English (translated by Marianne herself) to any non-German speakers to read during the hour long concert.
The Angel Concerts will be performed in the following venues:

Monday 17th January
Centro Anthroposofico, Puerto del Carmen at 20:30 Tickets €10
Tuesday 18th January
Centro Piramide, Costa Teguise at 20.30 Tickets cost €10
