Amura's Special Tapa And Meal At Gastronmic Event

As one of the official sponsors of the Festival of Gastronomy in Teguise earlier this month, Restaurante Amura were chosen to create a special dinner for the team from Saborea Lanzarote, the event organisers, sponsors, chefs and media.

Festival Enogastronomico Saborea Lanzarote 2016

The biggest annual food festival in Lanzarote will be held this weekend on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th November 2016.

The Festival Enogastronómico is held in La Villa de Teguise, the old capital of Lanzarote. The food stalls and events will be held in the Carpa Municipal de La Villa, Plaza de San Miguel and by the Palacio Spínola on c/ León y Castillo.

The opening hours are: Saturday 10:30 - 20:00 and Sunday 10:30 - 16:00.

This gastronomy event includes 40 restaurants, 10 wineries, 4 dairies producing artisan cheese and 15 other establishments offering other local products.  read more »

Christmas Gastronomy At Amura

There can´t be many better places to enjoy a special Christmas meal than at Amura in Puerto Calero. The restaurant is famed for it’s top class service, fabulous gastronomy, and one of the world´s great settings in a colonial style building in the marina at Puerto Calero.

World Cheese Awards 2016: Lanzarote wins 12 medals

The World Cheese Awards were held in San Sebastián, mainland Spain, last weekend. This year's edition had more than 3,000 cheeses participating from over 31 different countries. I caught a programme on Spanish TV just by chance, which was a report on the selection process of the winners.

Three of Lanzarote’s restaurants have special tasting menus available from the 7th to 13th November 2016.


The following menus are available priced at €25 per person (not including IGIC), each course includes a wine from Lanzarote.

Semana de La Mini Tapa 2016

The 6th edition of the gastronomy event, Semana de La Mini Tapa takes place in Tías, Lanzarote from the 11th to 18th November 2016.

VI Mini tapa Noviembre 2016

Tourists and residents are encouraged to visit Tías during the event, which involves visiting participating cafe bars and restaurants to taste their tapa and vote for your favourite.

Other businesses in the Zona Comercial Abierta de Tías have supported the event by offering discounted shopping and prizes.

How Many Bars And Restaurants Are There In Lanzarote?

We were asked this recently, and we thought it was a really interesting question, so we found the answers!

The simple answer is that there are 1764 Bars on the island and 982 restaurants. If you wanted to visit them all, and could manage three a day, it would take you about two and a half years.
