Summer Sports in Puerto del Carmen, 4th July to 30th September 2011

The programme of sporting events for the summer months in the resort of Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote has been published. Water Bills Increase in Lanzarote

Inalsa_Cortes_2011 The price of water supplied from Inalsa in Lanzarote increased on Thursday 7th July 2011.

The official boletín for Las Palmas has been published announcing a minimum increase of 5 Euros per bi-monthly invoice, households and businesses will notice the difference when they receive their bills from September onwards.

A service fee of 2 Euros per month has been applied to the domestic rate for a supply between 13-15 mm, meaning an increase of 10% for a family consuming less than 31 m3 of water the increase will be about 15%. The service fee increases up to 6 Euros per month depending upon the type of supply. There has been no increase in charges for waste water at this time.

The announcement follows a period where areas of Lanzarote have experienced outages in the water supply. Fiestas del Camen & San Felipe, La Graciosa 8th - 24th July 2011

Friday saw the start of the Fiestas del Carmen on the island of La Graciosa. For a small island off the Northern tip of Lanzarote, they have a full programme of events planned through to the 17th July, then more for the Fiestas de San Felipe from the 18th to 24th July.
