Pancho Corujo, Cueva de los Verdes, 22nd October 2010

pancho_corujo Francisco (Pancho) Corujo is a tenor from Lanzarote and accompanied by the basque pianist Josu Okiñena will perform a lyric concert in the Auditorium of the Cueva de los Verdes.

The concert starts at 20:30, and it is advisable to arrive a bit early to allow for the descent to the cavern where the concert takes places.

The tickets cost €20.00 and can be purchased at the box office on arrival or any of the Centros Turísticos.

The location is magical to say the least and the acoustics, unbeatable. An event not to be missed!

Oktoberfest, 23rd & 24th October 2010

Oktoberfest 2010 There are plenty of German tourists and residents in the island so it was only a matter of time until a festival inspired in the typical German "October Party" would happen in Lanzarote.

This one is special though, it's a fundraising event for the AFA, the Association of Family members of Alzheimer Patients.

The festival includes food, drinks, traditional live music, and art auction with works from national and international artist and much more. The programme is spread out in two action-packed days on the Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th of October in Puerto del Carmen, Playa de los Pocillos, Plaza de las Naciones from 10:00 until 23:00 on both days.

There will also be bus transfers from Playa Blanca & Costa Teguise, with hours & lines yet to be confirmed.

Sharon Shannon Live at Charlie's Bar, 21st - 26th October 2010

Sharon Shannon is an Irish musician, best known for her work with the accordion and for her fiddle technique. She also plays the tin whistle and melodeon.
